The Tricksters Band, Great Auction Items Headline Winter Celebration

Woodstock, VT. Ski Runners’ annual fundraising event, the Winter Celebration, is set for this Saturday night, February 23, from 7-11 PM at Woodstock Country Club. Anyone looking for a fun night out is invited, and you can help support access to winter sports for the children of our community.

“The Winter Celebration is probably the most important night of the year for us,” says Ski Runners President Chris Adams. “All of our programs—Alpine, Nordic, and Fridays—are priced below what it costs us to run them. The funds raised at the Winter Celebration help us deliver on the promise of ensuring reasonably priced access to snow sports for the kids. Plus, it’s a really fun night out.”

The $75pp tickets are available at the door and cover dinner provided by an array of local chefs and farms, two beverage tickets, and 2 full sets of music from The Tricksters, a local band that will be playing hits from the 1980’s through today. A cash bar is available after patrons have “spent” their beverage tickets.

Dozens of silent auction items at all price ranges provide fun browsing and fun, competitive bidding. There is something for everyone: cutting boards, glassware, art, wine, liquor, Red Sox tickets, skis, boots, ski bags, rounds of golf, lodging packages at the Woodstock Inn, and more. Later, between sets from the band, we feature a live auction for some truly great experiences, including guided fishing, snowmobiling, and mountain biking.

Prior to the live auction, we will honor recent Presidents and Vice Presidents—Steve Hambsch, Dan Noble, and Jim Kelly— with a special presentation thanking them for their tireless service to Woodstock Ski Runners.
