On Sunday, February 25, it’s the U12s turn to race for glory on The Face at the Suicide 6 Stubby SL. What’s a stubby? It’s a hinged SL gate that’s only about 24 inches tall. The kids “shin” these gates as they learn to make fast, clean slalom turns. Come out and support the home team!
Come out and cheer Ski Runners youngest members enjoying themselves in this fun all-mountain competition. The Alpine Devo, All-Mountain, and U10 groups will ski one race run, one mogul run, and one terrain park run for one overall score. We'll be hosting similar groups from Pico, Ford Sayre, Quechee and more for this super fun day. Awards will be given to the top 3 girl and boy finishers in each age group.
One of the rites of Spring at Suicide Six, the Slush Cup is an open USSA stubby slalom race for U8-U12s. It can be a young U8s first race and also a U12s last one as a U12. The sun shines, we make slushies for the kids, and everyone has a great day.
Race The Face signals the end of the official Ski Runners season, and we make sure our annual club race is a great time for everyone. In a parallel GS, the kids race against each other, brothers race sisters, parents race each other, parents race their kids, the dog races the cat. The kids wear costumes. You get the idea. There’s no timing. Today is all about fun and celebrating the season as a team!
